Biography

In her eighteenth year on the board, Karen continues to approach Water District business with two priorities; (1) what is beneficial for all customers and (2) what improves the District.   As the longest serving current board member, she provides helpful District history to board discussions.

Boards Served

She is involved in regional water and sewer issues. As such, Karen is one of two board members who represent the District at Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts (WASWD) meetings. She also represents the District on the WASWD Government Relations Committee. The Snohomish River Regional Water Association is a potential future alternative water source for the District for which Karen is a representative. Her participation in the District’s Wellness Committee underscores her interest in the District staff well-being. 

Since 1984, Karen and her family have lived and gardened in Woodinville. She counts it a privilege to continue to serve the rate payers of the Woodinville Water District and is committed to this responsibility.
